Clarinda Graves, daughter of Chas. K. and Mary Graves, was born Nov. 10, 1854, at Maquoketa Iowa, passed away Nov. 24th, being 73 years and 14 days of age. She was united in marriage to J. W. Wroe who passed away. She was again united in marriage to B. B. Rogers at West Union. He also passed away and in Sept. 1913 she was united in marriage with J. E. Burns who still survives her. Mrs. Burns united with the Methodist Episcopal at Quimby, Iowa, in 1894. There remains her husband and two adopted sons, Lester and Lyle, Two half brothers, Lester in California, Harley in Nebraska, and one half-sister, Mrs. Mary Shadle of California, one brother Charles Graves of Volga; two sisters, Mrs. G. H. Fox of Volga, Mrs. W. E. Young of Edmond, Oklahoma, also many other relatives and friends to revere her memory. Mrs. Burns was a home loving woman and was always willing to help the church, was very cheerful, always optimistic. The funeral was held in the Presbyterian church, the Wadena minister officiating. Interment was made in Hill Crest Cemetery.
