Mrs. Lydia A. Patridge, a resident of Maynard, Ia., for many years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry C. Leonard, of this township, Wednesday morning, September 14th, 1927, at the age of 73 years. Mrs. Patridge had been in poor health for several years, and spent the winter of 1926-27 at San Diego, Calif., coming to her daughter's home for a visit on July 3rd. The immediate cause of her death was heart trouble.
Mrs. Patridge is survived by two sons, Irving Patridge of Maynard, and John Patridge of Twin Falls, Idaho; four daughters, Mrs. Henry C. Leonard of Elkader, Mrs. Ruth Hungerford, Moscow, Idaho, Mrs. Clay Pearce, Sherman, California, Miss Helen Patridge of Los Angeles, Calif; in addition to a number of grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Saturday. A brief service will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Henry Leonard home, Rev. A. S. Kilbourn of Elkader officiating, after which she will be taken to her old home at Maynard. Services will be held in the afternoon at 1:30 at the home and at 2:00 o'clock at the Presbyterian church in Maynard. Interment will be at Long Grove cemetery at Maynard.
