Mrs. Delila Tittle, formerly of this place, died at her home Tuesday, Aug. 16th, at Dubuque. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Maggie Hadley, Mrs. May Allen Brockman, Mrs. Katie Barker; and two sons, John Henry and Lemuel Tittle, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Edwards and Mrs. Teanna Curtus, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; and twenty grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one brother, Allen Edwards, of the Soldier's home. Mrs. Delila Tittle was 80 years of age and her remains were taken to the Hindenschild funeral home at Dubuque. Funeral services were conducted at the Hindenschild Funeral Chapel at Dubuque Friday, the remains then being taken to this place, where services were conducted by Rev, J. F. Parker, pastor of the Dubuque Baptist church, at the public school house. The burial was made in the public cemetery here beside her husband, mother, daughter and son. Pallbearers were: Walter Perlod, Exavier Coleman, Ernest Merkle, Leo Warner, Milton Hadley and John Kuykendall.
