The funeral services of Mrs. Hilda Harbaugh, Butters, were held from the Colsburg Methodist church on Wednesday afternoon by Rev. Fred Riggs, assisted by the pastor of the M.E. church, Rev. Phillips. Mrs. Harbaugh died at her home Monday evening but at the request of her parents the body was taken to their home and it was from her girlhood home that she was carried to her last resting place in the beautiful Browns Cemetery north of Colesburg. Her brothers acted as pallbearers and tenderly carried the casket to its long home. Hilda Marie, the 5th child of J. W. and Amelia Butters, was born October 29th and was united in marriage to William Harbaugh. They went to farming on a farm owned by Mr. Harbaugh's father. This was her home until she passed away on the 14th of July. Besides her near relatives of the neighborhood there were present her brothers Albert and Herbert and sister Mr. and Mrs. Shepherd from Oelwein a sister and husband Mr. and Mrs. Langham from Dubuque and uncle Rob Butters and family from Holy Cross. The church was filled with friends who came to pay their last respect to the deceased. A quartet from Colesburg furnished the music.
