Willie Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Larson, was born April 3, 1872, in Boardman township, Clayton county, Iowa. The same year the family moved to Clear Lake where they lived three and one half years. When Willie had reached the age of about five years the family moved to St. Olaf. Willie was the fourth of nine children. He was baptized and confirmed in Norway congregation on Oct. 31, 1886, with a class of fifteen.

On October 19, 1895, he was married to Miss Hilda L. Thovson. Two marriages were held in the John Larson home that day. For beside Willie and Hilda, Knut Embretson and Bea Larson were also married. Mr. and Mrs. Larson's marriage was blessed with four boys, LeRoy, Alvin, Horace and Floyd. Several years they lived on what was called the Ronne place. About fourteen years ago they sold a part of that place and bought his father's place.

About twenty years ago Willie had hemmorage of the lungs and has not been very strong since. Although he has done a good deal of work. About three years ago he underwent a serious operation in LaCrosse, Wis. His health improved until this winter when it began to fail again until the angel of death took him away on April 3, on his forty-seventh birthday. His mother died about twenty-two years ago.

The deceased leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, who faithfully assisted him, four sons, two sisters, and five brothers and his father. Mrs. Knut Embretson of St. Olaf, Mrs. Hans Helgeson, Oliver, of Lily, S.Dak., Lewis and Joseph also of S.Dak.,Perry, of St. Paul, and Lawrence of Brockway, Mont. Also a large number of other relatives and friends mourn his departure.

The funeral service which was very well attended took place Sunday, April 6, in the afternoon.

Farewell neighbor and friend. You do not return to us, but we hope we will meet you in our father's house above.
