Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 13 Mar. 1919. Strawberry Point column.

O. L. Kretzschmar passed away at his home Tuesday forenoon after several weeks illness from a complication of diseases following the influenza. Mr. Kretaschmar with his family moved here from Sumner, Iowa, about two years ago. He started the O. K. store and repair shop. He was a prominent member of the Lutheran church and in his short stay here had made numerous friends. He was held in great esteem by all who knew him. He leaves his sorrowing wife and two sons besides other relatives and friends.

(Note: The surname was spelled both ways in the article, as presented here.)
