After an illness of several weeks Henry Wittemberg died at the Hospital Sunday morning. For the last twenty years he has been working at the carpenter trade in and around Monona. Little is known of him except that he came from Germany and was the recipient of remittances from there. It is believed that he belonged to a family of standing and means. A cablegram was sent Sunday to an address he gave but no answer has been received up to this time. The body was held until yesterday in the expectation of a message and then was buried here, County Attorney Schulte giving Mr. Spaulding directions to that effect. - McGregor Times.
