Walter Daniel Crandall, a barber of Volga City, died suddenly of heart trouble at the home of his nephew, L. L. Crandall, Tuesday evening, June 17, 1913. He was born near Clermont, Iowa, Oct. 26, 1861, and had reached the age of 51 years, seven months and 22 days.
When a boy, with his parents, he moved from Clermont to Elgin of this state, where he grew to manhood. He never married and of late had made his home with his nephew. He was a kind-hearted man with many friends and a good citizen.
He leaves three brothers and many other relatives to mourn their loss. The funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon in the M.E. church, conducted by Rev. Walter Piper, and burial will be in the Volga City cemetery.
