Mrs. Euphemia Collins, nee McKinley, was born in Dunf_rmline, Scotland, Dec. 19th, 1847, and died at her home near Millville, Iowa, Feb. 19th, 1913, aged sixty-five years and two months. At the early age of two years she came with her parents to the United States. They resided first in New York State, later in Chicago and finally settled in Clayton County.
She was married in 1880 to John T. Collins, who preceded her in death. To this union were born three daughters; Mrs. Chas. Bowman, of Osterdock, Iowa; Mrs. Wm. Ward and Mrs. George Troester, of Millville, Iowa. She leaves to mourn her loss, these three daughters, three step-children, seven grandchildren, three brothers and one sister, besides other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Collins was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church. During her long illness she was a patient sufferer, ever looking forward to the final summons, which would call her to her last home.
The funeral services were held at the house Saturday morning and were conducted by Rev. H. B. Kofake, of Guttenberg, Iowa. Interment at Friedlein cemetery.
