Sophia Mathalia Ronquist was the daughter of Mrs. Henry Ronquist. She was born at this place March 28th, 1894, and died Dec. 12th, 1907, at the age of 13 years, 8 months and 15 days. She had always been in poor health from infancy and her death was not unexpected. Little Sophia was a sensitive, tender-hearted child and ever obedient to her parents and teachers. Last February Henry Ronquist, the father of Sophia, was called to his last resting place. Sophia leaves a mother, three brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss. Six little schoolmates acted as pall bearers; Maud Carney, Hazel Frisbie, Effie Larson, Celia Christenson, Nettie Johnson and Mae Nelson. The funeral services were held at the house at 10:00 o'clock Sunday morning.
