Gracie Rodas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Rodas, was born in Elk township, Clayton county, Iowa, March 9th, 1894, and died Dec. 12th, 1907, aged 13 years, 9 months and 3 days. She leaves to mourn her loss her father, mother, two sisters, Alma and Mary, and four brothers, John, Charley, Frank and Freddie. Gracie had always been in poor health, although she appeared well and was quite large for her age, but she suffered from what is known as "Bleeders disease" all her life and had one sister that died of the same disease sixteen years ago. Gracie was of a kind hearted disposition and loved by all who knew her. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family in this hour of their sad affliction.
