Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 12 Dec. 1907. Monona column.

Mrs. B. F. Fox, mother to Harry C. Fox, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. V. Carter, at Ashland, Oregon, Monday, Dec. 2nd, at the age of 78 years. Mrs. Fox was one of the earliest settlers in the county, having resided at Garnavillo and later at McGregor for a number of years.

Her given name Julia is from the obit of their daughter Adelaide who died in 1855.
