Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 5 Dec. 1907. Gunder column.

Mrs. Asgrim Olson died suddenly Saturday morning after a few days of sickness at the age of 79 years. Funeral services were held at the Marion church Tuesday forenoon at ten o'clock, Rev. Arveson officiating. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends attended to pay a last sad tribute of respect to one they had known and honored in life. The remains were laid to rest in this cemetery.

(Note: An apparent reference to Gunhild Olson, 1829 - 1907, shown in WPA records as buried in Marion Cemetery.)
