Elmer, aged two years, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gerloff, died Monday night of peritonitis, the result of a severe burn from scalding water, which occurred two weeks ago, last Monday. While the burn itself was healing nicely, complications followed which proved fatal in spite of all that medical aid could do. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Lutheran church, Rev. Linnenberger officiating, interment at the Lutheran cemetery. Elmer leaves a kind and indulgent father and mother, several sisters and two brothers to mourn his death. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved family.
