Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 12 Sept. 1907. Strawberry Point column.
Saturday morning at 10:30 at the old home east of town occurred the funeral of A. E. Axtell, Rev. S. D. Holden preaching the funeral sermon. Interment was made in the local cemetery. Among those from out of town here to attend the funeral were Mr. Axtell's sister, Mrs. Yeoman, Freniont, Iowa; and the following children, Harry E. E., and Arthur Axtell, of Larkin, N. D.; E. K. Axtell, of Trent, S.D.; and Mrs. M. A. Taylor, of Clarksville, Iowa; a nephew, Frank Yeoman and wife, of Greene, Iowa; and Elmer Bartlett, of Manchester.
