Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock occurred the funeral of Geo. Wolf, who passed away in Minneapolis, Friday, Aug. 30. He was a member of the Christian church northeast of town, Rev. S.D. Holden preaching the funeral sermon. The members of the G.A.R. Post attended the funeral of their old comrade in a body.
George Wolf was born Oct. 15, 1831, in Germany. Dec. 15, 1863, he was united in marriage with Miss Hannah Brell.
To this union nine children were born, John Philip, who died in infancy; Emma Gay, who died in 1904; the rest all living, being Maggie Parson of Potlatch, Idaho; John G. of Minkler, Iowa; Peter of Strawberry Point; Fred of Alpha, N. Dak.; Ella Dowland, of Minneapolis and William and Charles of Medora, N. Dak.
Mrs. Wolf died in 1898. He then lived on the farm two and a half years, since which time he has been living in Minneapolis.
