Elkader Register, Thur. 25 Apr. 1907. Local News columns.
Last Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Ole A. Olson, of Wagner township, lost their little son Clarence, aged two years, in a sad accident. The little fellow was playing in the yard seemingly out of all danger and after being out of his mothers sight for just a few moments was found dead. It seems that he had been standing on a box and falling from it, was caught in a piece of binding twine which the children had used for a swing from the windmill ladder, and being unable to arise was choked to death. Funeral services were held at the Norway Church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Arveson officiating. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of their many friends.
