Elkader Register, Thur., 21 Feb. 1907. Elgin column.

Blanche the invalid daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Jones, who reside in Highland township, Clayton county, died from the effects of an attack of diptheria. She was about twenty-four years of age and had been a cripple since childhood. It is stated several other members of the family are now afflicted with the disease. A quarantine has been inaugurated and all possible care is being taken to prevent the spread of the disease.

Certificate of Death gives her parents as David and Caroline (Reed) Jones; DOD as Feb. 12, 1907; and burial place as Illyria cemetery, Fayette county, IA
