H. A. Granger was born January 20th, 1841, at West Milton, Vt., and died at Strawberry Point, October 13th, 1916. He came west in 1869 and has been identified with the business interests of Manchester since 1871. He was married in 1870 to Isabelle Bremmer. To this union were born three children, Wm. Howard, who died at the age of four years, Alson H., who resides in Lakeland, Fla., and Mrs. Melvin J. Yoran, of Manchester. Since retiring from active business Mr. Granger and his wife has spent their winters in Florida and he has became identified with the First National Bank of Jacksonville. He was taken ill while in Jacksonville in January, 1915, and after about four months came north, hoping to regain his health. He has since spent his time in Manchester and Strawberry Point, but steadily grew worse until death relieved him of his sufferings at the Minnie Clough home. The remains were taken at once to Manchester and the funeral services were held on Sunday. Interment took place in Manchester.
