Mrs. Wm. Donlon was called from this life on September 23rd, after an illness of about ten weeks. She had been in poor health much of the time for several years and every effort that loving care and medical skill could suggest was made to restore her health but without avail.

Anna Margaret Schoepf was born in Read township, November 3rd, 1869, and grew to womanhood there. In 1891 she was married to Wm. Donlon of Highland township. Four children have been born to them, two girls, Mary and Margaret, and an infant son, Wm.. Joseph, surviving the mother. Her devoted husband, an aged father, David Schoepf; a sister, Mrs. F. L. Heiden, of Elkader; two brothers, Mathew, of Forest City, Ia.;; and Charles, of North Dakota, with other relatives, mourn her untimely death.

The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved family in their great loss.

The funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Joseph's church, Rev. Father Reilly officiating, and was largely attended by friends and neighbors. Among those present from abroad were, Dr. S. E. Donlon and wife and Dr. T. H. Donlon, of Chicago, and Matt Schoepf, of Forest City.
