Elkader Register, Thur., 5 Aug. 1926. Strawberry Point column.

Word was received here Friday morning from Hill Retreat at Des Moines announcing that Miss Kate Mueller, who had been there for the past five weeks was seriously ill. She grew worse and death relieved her in the afternoon. The remains were brought here Saturday and taken to the home of her mother, Mrs. Rosina Mueller. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Monday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Jahr. Interment took place in the St. Sebald cemetery. The deceased was reared in the Lutheran church and confirmed. No one knew her but to love her. Besides her aged mother she leaves one sister, Miss Rose Mueller of this place and a brother, John Mueller of Buffalo, Wyoming, besides other relatives and friends.
