This community was shocked and much saddened to learn of the death of Harry Simons, after a brief illness.
Harry, the youngest son of Mrs. Amelia Simons, was born May, 1911, and died December 24, 1932, at the age of 21 years and seven months. He was a graduate of the Colesburg high school, where he gained popularity. Since his graduation he has been employed on his mother's farm near Garber.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Simons, and a sister, Mary Jane, who died in infancy.
Left to mourn his death are his mother, Mrs. Amelia Simons; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Hansel (Eva) of Garber, and Berniece at home; one brother, Elmer, on the home farm; his grandmother, who made her home with them, Mrs. Mary Simons; besides a host of other relatives and friends who knew him and loved him well.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the home near Garber, Rev. G. C. Nodurft officiating. Interment was made in the Brown cemetery.
