The home of Mrs. Ret Smith was saddened Thursday p.m. about 4 o'clock, when her son Lowell died. He had been ill for several months and his death had been expected.
Lowell was born on a farm near Colesburg 21 years ago. Several years ago he came here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clay Smith. Mrs. Smith, his mother, two sisters, Mrs. Osa Nading of Guttenberg and Mrs. Frank Hyde of Osterdock and one brother, Ray, who lives near Colesburg, mourn his death. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon and the Rev. Dale Welch officiated at the residence and at the Bethel cemetery, where interment was made
