Elkport Boy Dies From Scalding.
ELKPORT: The 18-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. William Kafer fell into a pail of hot water Saturday afternoon and was so badly scalded that he died Monday afternoon. It seems Mrs. Kafer was mopping up floors and went out of doors to get some cold water to cool off the scrub water, and when she returned the little boy had been scalded by sitting in the pail of boiling hot water. The mother was absent only a few minutes. Medical aid was summoned at once and all was done that could possibly be done for the little fellow, but to no avail.
The bereaved parents have the sympathy of all in their sad affliction. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery at Elkport, Father Goetzinger having charge.
