The funeral of little Jerome Schute, who died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Schute, of near Garnavillo, last Thursday, was held Saturday afternoon, the body being laid to rest in Mt. Olivet cemetery at Guttenberg. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Father J. A. Dupont, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic church here. Little Jerome was 2 1/2 years of age when the Angel of Death called him to the Great Beyond, and his untimely death is deeply mourned by his parents, one brother, his grandparents and many other relatives. He was a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schute, of Guttenberg.
