Mrs. Paul Haas died at her home in Garnavillo Tuesday morning, June 21st at 2 a.m. For a while she seemed to recover, but the last week grew weaker rapidly until she passed away quietly and peacefully.

Mrs. Haas was born Anna Marie Mich in Jefferson township. She was married to Paul Haas January 12, 1892. She made her home in Jefferson township. In October, 1925, she moved to Garnavillo and made her home there until her death. She leaves to mourn her husband and three children, John of Sleepyeye, Minn., Mrs. Ray Berns of Volga township, Hubert of Jefferson township. Two preceded her in death, Peter, an infant, and Mrs. Theresa Gerner. Fourteen grandchildren survive. She was a faithful member of the Catholic church and also a member of the Rosary Society She was comforted by the last rites of her holy faith.
