Elkader Register, Thur., 18 Apr. 1901. Boehm's Mound column.
DIED- Wednesday April 10th, little Clarence Waterman, youngest child of Henry and Emma Waterman, at the age of six months. The little one was sick but a short time so that his death was a great shock, as he was a bright and winsome little child. He leaves to mourn his death, his parents, two sisters and one brother. The funeral was held on Friday at the Lutheran cemetery and was largely attended, Rev. Fritschel officiating.
Thy gentle voice is now hushed,
Thy warm true heart is still
And on thy young and innocent brow,
Is resting death's cold chill.Thy hands are clasped upon thy breast
We have kissed thy lovely brow,
And in our aching hearts we know
We have no darling now.
