Catherine Quinn, 86, long-time resident of Strawberry Point died at her home here Thursday morning at 1:00 a.m. Born September 8, 1867, at Garnavillo, Iowa, she was the daughter of John and Mary Brazel Ryan. On August 21, 1888, she was married to John M. Quinn at Luverne, Minn. Mrs. Quinn has been a resident of Strawberry Point for (looks like 65) years.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church in Strawberry Point, with interment at the Sacred Heart cemetery at Cox Creek. The Rev. Father Robert Palen officiated at the services.

Survivors include ten children and a number of grandchildren. The ten children are: Harry Quinn, Edgewood; Mrs. Thomas E. (Rose) Boland, Strawberry Point; Robert Quinn, Veterans hospital, Knoxville; Mrs. Leo (Ella) Boland, Elkader; George Quinn, Wichita, Kansas; Joe Quinn, Menlo Park, Calif.; John Quinn, Peoria, Ill.; Mrs. Leo (Julia) Roach, Elkader; Kenneth Quinn, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. John C. (Delores) Meyer, Strawberry Point. She was preceded in death by her husband John and one daughter, Kathryn.

Pallbearers were six grandchildren: John Boland, Pat Boland, John R. Quinn, Bernard Boland, Kenneth Quinn Jr., and Pat Meyer.

Those from a distance who attended the funeral of Mrs. Catherine Quinn on Saturday were: John T. Dak.; Mr. and Mrs. Ken Corcoran, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Corcoran, M. J. Hanlon, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Lillis, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Raftis and Irving Raftis, all of Oelwein.

Wenger, Waverly; Pat Boland, Denver, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Opperman, Maquoketa; Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Ivory, Lamont; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Boland and Barbara, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. McDermott, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Jandl, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Quinn and Ken Jr., all of Cedar Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ivory, Mrs. Bill Hendrickson and John Boland, all of Clinton; Mrs. Henry Friend of New Hampton; Mr. and Mrs. George L. Quinn, Wichita, Kansas and Mrs. Ed Costello of Marion, Kansas.
