Ellsworth, Ella died 1878

ELLSWORTH

In Read Township, April 24, 1878, Ella only daughter of Henry and Clarisa Ellsworth, aged 7 years.

We are told that this is the fifth and last daughter which the afflicted parents have been called upon to part with. Surely the Great Father will comfort and protect the afflicted family, while friends and neighbors will condole with them in the hour of sorrow.

Elkader Register: April 11, 1878

Note: a 3 y/o daughter died in Feb. 1878 and a 3 y/o son of the couple in 1881. The death notice of the son gave burial place as the East Side cemetery, Elkader. More than likely the daughters are also buried there.
