Elkader Register, Thur., 16 May 1878.

Isaac Russell, father of Willie and Washington Russell, of Farmersburg, died at Wheaton, near Chicago, on Sunday last. His remains were brought to Farmersburg and buried on Yesterday. Mr. Russell has been a citizen of this county for better than 24 years, and was a well-to-do farmer, highly respected by all who know him. He was about 76 years of age. The funeral services were conducted by Elder Polly, and about every family in the township was represented, besides many from adjoining towns.
