Elkader Register, Thur., 23 June 1921. McGregor Column.

The remains of Mr. George Schriver were brought here and the funeral held Sunday from the home of H. N. Albeck. His death occurred from the wounds received when the drunken negro shot him in Kansas City. George Shriver was born in Hancock County, Iowa, 65 years ago. He is survived by his wife and daughter in Kansas City, two brothers, Ben and Charles, and sister, Mrs. Thos. Allard, of McGregor, and two sisters who live in California.
