M. J. Curran, a former resident here and who recently moved here from Elmhurst, Ill., his former home, died at 8:30 o'clock Thursday morning last. Mr. Curran had been in ill health for several months and while his demise was not unlooked for, the suddenness of his passing was quite a shock to his wife and daughter and relatives as well as many friends hereabouts. The funeral was conducted from the Catholic church, burial taking place at the Edgewood cemetery. Mr. Curran at one time conducted a store here and for the last number of years has resided at Elmhurst, Ill. He was about sixty years old and leaves besides his wife and daughter two brothers, Phil and William, and other relatives, all of whom have the sympathy of the entire community.
