Clayton County Register, Thur., 14 Feb. 1935; Monona column:
Funeral services for Miss Katherine Conway were held at ten o'clock Wednesday morning at the St. Patrick's Catholic church. A nephew, the Rev. Father George Conway, O.P. of Chicago, said the requiem mass, and the Rev. Father Luke Donlon paid an eloquent tribute to the deceased, whom he had known from boyhood.
Katherine Conway was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Conway, pioneer settlers of this community. She was born at Luana on Nov. 25, 1862, was educated in the public schools and taught in the rural schools of Clayton county for many years. she will be remembered by many for her sterling qualities of character and high ideals of life.
Surviving her are two brothers, P. J. Conway of Duluth, Minn., and T. F. Conway of Minneapolis, and two sisters, Mrs. J. L. McGhee of Minneapolis and Mrs. James F. Carroll of Monona, all of whom were present at the last sad rites, and who keenly feel the loss of her sudden passing.
The Register joins with the community in offering them sympathy.
