On Monday evening, November 3rd, 1890, Miss Mary Johnson, of Wagner township closed her eye to earthly scenes and passed over to the great majority beyond the grave.
Deceased was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fingar Johnson and was a little over twenty-two years of age. Last fall, while visiting with a married sister who resides in Dakota, she caught a severe cold which developed into consumption. For several months past she had been a great sufferer, but bore her trials with christen patience, never complaining. She formerly attended school at Elkader, and while here lived with the family of the writer, and has always been held in our highest esteem. Ladylike, pleasant and courteous, she had a large number of friends who will greatly mourn her death.
The funeral will take place today from the Wagner Norwegian church of which she was a devout member.
