ELMER F. BISHOP
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 1, in the Beetem residence in Clayton for Elmer F. Bishop, who died in his home at Clayton, March 29. The Rev. P. Kitterer of this place officiated. Burial was made in the Clayton cemetery with the following men as casket-bearers: Frank Gibbs, Adam Oelfke, Bill Beckett, Clyde Fisher, Walter Pesch and Loyd Frye.
Elmer Franklin Bishop, who reached the age of 59 years, eight months and 20 days, was born July 9, 1879, the son of Frank and Priscilla Bishop.
He was married to Evelyn Tinkey on Oct. 13, 1925, and seven children were born to this union. One infant son preceded him in death. The following children survive: Frank, Jerry, Jimmie, John, Adalade and Ramona. Besides the widow, he leaves one daughter, Ellen Robbins, by a former marriage. Other survivors are: two sisters, Mrs. Ida Rowland and Mrs. Etta Gereaux; a half sister, Mrs. Maud Corwin of Muscatine, and a half brother, Arthur Brenner of Wilton Junction.
Mr. Bishop was a button cutter and a commercial fisherman.
