Meehan, James died 1890

James Meehan died last Saturday evening, October 25, 1890, after a sickness of two months with dropsy. He was 54 years of age, and leaves a wife and seven grown children to mourn this death.

He was a native of Ireland, having been born at Castletown, but came to this country at an early age.

The funeral took place Monday, his remains being followed to their last resting place in the Garnavillo Catholic cemetery by a large concourse of friends. May he rest in Peace.
