Elkader Register, Thur., 17 Apr. 1924. Strawberry Point column.
The many friends of B. T. Weeks, better known as Bradley Weeks, were sorry to learn of his death which occurred at his home east of town last Wednesday. His departure takes from us another pioneer and veteran of the Civil War. He leaves a host of friends and has surely earned eternal rest. His health had been failing for some time but he was up and around until just a few weeks before his death. Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon conducted by Rev. Frizelle. Six members of the American Legion were chosen as pall bearers for their departed comrade. He leaves a wife and one son besides other relatives to mourn his death.
Note: Bradford T. Weeks served with Co. D, 21st IA Inf in the Civil War. For much more info. about this soldier, see the Clayton co. IAGenWeb site: Military Records, Civil War Honor Roll
