Elkader Register, Thur., 21 Feb. 1924.

Mrs. William Schuldt, a resident of Cox Creek Twp., passed away at home, near Mederville, Monday, February 18th, 1924, at the age of 46 years and 24 days.

Alma Gerdes was born in Germany, January 20th, 1878. When six years of age she came with her parents to America; Clayton County being the goal of the journey. Here she grew up to womanhood and was married to William Schuldt, on August 19th, 1903. Two children were born to this union, Etta and Walter. These together with another son, Albert, born to the first wife, a deceased sister of the now departed, mourn the loss of a good mother; while the husband will greatly miss the tender care of a faithful wife and companion. She also leaves three brothers, Jacob, Ged and Michael, and four sisters; Anna, Meta, Lena and Gesiene. Two sisters, Mary and Hanna, preceded her in death.

The most heartfelt sympathy of the community goes out to those who were nearer and dearest to her.

Funeral services were held today (Thursday) February 21st, at one o'clock at the house; Rev. C. H. Franke officiating. Interment was made in the Mederville Cemetery.
