Clarence "Pete" Bernhard, 68, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 27, 1996, in the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital after a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Giard United Methodist Church, Giard, by the Rev. Gary Dobbins. Burial: Monona City Cemetery, Monona, with military rites. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo, where a prayer service begins at 7 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Idayne; two sons, Steven of Garnavillo and Stanley of Luana; A daughter, Colleen Joyner of West Palm, Fla.; and four sisters, Helen Wold of Monona, Viola Alderson of Wadena and Georgine Schmidt and Beverly Mazuk, both of La Crosse, Wis.
