Elkader Register, Thur., 5 Apr. 1906.

At her home in Elkader, at 6:30 this morning, occurred the death of Mrs. Fred Patow, in the 79th year of her age. Anna Dahling was born in Teldo, Mecklenberg-Schwerin, Germany, Aug. 3rd, 1827. She married Fred Patow in Germany and they came to America and settled in Read township in 1865. Three children were born to them, one dying on the ocean when they came over. Two survive, Mrs. John Hagensick, of Boardman twp., and William, of Elkader. Mr. Patow died in 1892. Mrs. Patow and son moved to Elkader last fall. The funeral will take place from the house at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, conducted by Revs. Linderberg, of Clayton Center, and Leonhard, of Elkader. The interment will be at Clayton Center.
