Mrs. Mina Viet was born March 9th, 1822, at Gumenplan, Brannshweig, Germany, and died Sunday, March 20th, 1906, at North McGregor. In 1848, with her husband, she came to America, settling in Milwaukee, where she lived until 1898. December 6th, 1897, her husband died, and the year after she came to this place to be near her only son, F. B. Veit. Her death was sudden, heart trouble ending her life as she sat in her chair at her fireside, Sunday morning. The remains were taken to Milwaukee, Wednesday morning, where the services were held in the German Lutheran church and interment in the Forest Home cemetery. The remains were accompanied by F. B. Veit and wife, Chas. Veit, Harry Thile and Geo. Rehm and wife.
