Mrs. Margaret Marxer died at her home near Communia last Monday. The funeral was held at Communia yesterday.

Margaret Conrad was born in Beaiern, Germany, April 19, 1834, and came to America in 1853. She was united in marriage with Jacob Marxer at Dubuque in 1856, and that year came to Clayton county, locating on the farm near Communia, where she died Jan. 15th, 1906.
To them were born eight children, one, Mary, preceeding her parents in death. Those surviving are John J., William, Amelia, Henry, Oscar, Anna and Conrad. Mr. Marxer died in 1890.
Deceased had been in poor health since September, but was seriously ill only one week.
The funeral was held on the 17th, Rev. F. Leonhard, of Elkader, officiating. The interment was at Communia.
