Strawberry Point- William Stanley Cannon, 83, of Strawberry Point, died of dementia Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, in the Kavanagh House, Des Moines.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, First United Methodist Church. His body will be cremated. There will be no burial.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at Roberson Funeral Home, Strawberry Point, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements with Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines.

Survivors include his companion, Winifred Schmidt; a son, Michael of Anamosa; two daughters, Karen Ford of Urbandale and Jean Cannon of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother, Frank Jr. of Indiana; and a sister, Lola Rexroat of Florida.
