Marquette- Max O. Murphy, 80, died Friday, Aug. 25, 1995, in Veterans Medical Center, Tomah, Wis., after a lengthy illness. Graveside services: 1 p.m. Sunday, Bagley Cemetery, Bagley, Wis., with military honors. Arrangements are with Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home, McGregor.

Survivors include his wife, Marie; a daughter, Marianna of Austin, Texas; two step-daughters, Jaynene Johnson of Waterloo and Carole Ann Akers of Kellerton; a step-son, Dennis Johnson of Peoria, Ill.; and a sister, Mary Garside of Winthrop Harbor, Ill.
