Elkader Register, Fri., 24 Aug. 1883.
On last Sunday afternoon, Jos. Hermann, an inmate of the county poor house, died of dropsy, aged 64 years. Deceased was formerly a resident of Guttenberg, where he is known as the Austrian basket maker. He had only been at the poor house about eight days.
