Mrs. Mary J. Merwin, daughter of H. W. Burlingame of this place, died very suddenly at Wolsey, D.T., on the 12th inst., of lung paralysis. For a number of years she has had charge of the primary department of the North McGregor schools, and had gone to Dakota to secure some land and spend her vacation on her claim. Her death was very sudden, she only being sick one day, and is a severe blow to all who knew her. The remains were brought to this city for burial.
