Elkader Register, Fri., 23 Feb. 1883. Elkport Locals column.

Christian Oelker, died at his home in this township, on the 20th, of consumption, at the age of 55 years. The funeral occurred on Wednesday, the remains being laid away to their final rest in the Garnavillo cemetery.
