Joyce Ann Kruse, 72, of Monona, Iowa died Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home in Monona. Joyce Ann was born to Raymond and Helen (Schlitter) Mielke on October 28, 1943 in rural Monona. She graduated from Monona - Farmersburg High School in 1961.

Joyce was united in marriage with Nile Kruse on July 31, 1962 at the United Methodist Church in Monona, Iowa. Two children were born to the union, Jeff and Julie. Joyce was a Teacher’s Aide at MFL Mar-Mac Community School for twenty-five years. She spent time playing the piano, collecting dolls and gathering family pictures. Joyce loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time at the cabin and loved the holidays. Joyce was well known for her rice crispy bars. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Nile Kruse of Monona; two children, Jeff Kruse of Monona and Julie (Tim) Sostak of St. Charles, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jessica Kruse (Brandon Eagle), Jon Kruse (Chelsea Sloan), Jake Sostak and Zack Sostak.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Helen Mielke.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 4-7 pm at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Monona, Iowa and one hour before services at the church on Thursday.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Living Faith United Methodist Parish, Monona, Iowa with Rev. Dennis Hopes as the Officiant.

Burial will follow at Monona Cemetery, Monona, Iowa.
