Elkader Register, Thur., 4 June 1903. Volga City Views column.

Died at Volga, June 1st, 1903, of Catarrhal fever Sarah Epps, youngest daughter of Lemuel and Mary Epps, aged 4 years and 9 days. Little Sarah was a bright child and will be greatly missed from the home circle.

"I take this little one, said He,
and lay it on my breast,
Protection it shall find in me,
In me securely rest."

Note: The middle name of Sarah is given in the article, but was mostly unreadable. It may be Delpha.
