Patrick Burgen, a brakeman on the Iowa & Dakota division of the C. M. & St. P. road, was killed at North McGregor yesterday afternoon. While descending the ladder of a car, when the train was about to stop, he slipped and fell on the track and a car wheel crushed his head to a pulp. He was between 45 and 50 years of age and leaves a wife and family.
